Meet your anchor
Lobo, live from the rock.
Lobo is Los Cabos' favorite sea lion. Every night he reads the weather, chases the swell, keeps an eye on the tropics and passes along what's happening around town.
Show business runs in the family.
Ask anybody who has spent time at the Cabo San Lucas marina about Pancho and you'll get a story. The sea lion who hopped onto sportfishing boats like he owned them, posed for tourists like a pro, and once grabbed a fisherman's dorado right before the tournament weigh-in. Millions of people watched that video. Pancho got a statue at the marina. Lobo got a microphone.
Is Pancho his uncle? His great-uncle? Lobo's abuela says fourth cousin, twice removed, on his father's side, and she's not taking follow-up questions. Either way, Lobo grew up on Tío Pancho stories and decided the family could use one sea lion with a steady job.
Lobo vs. Tío Pancho
Pancho boarded boats uninvited. Lobo waits to be booked.
Pancho stole the dorado. Lobo just tells you where they're biting.
Pancho worked for snacks. Lobo also works for snacks. Some things run in the family.
Sal y sol, Cabo.
Lobo is an AI-animated character. The real sea lions of Cabo are wild animals: enjoy them from a distance and please don't feed them.
